White Water Rafting: Scary but fun…

Craving for adventure to release my boredom and stressed from my daily routine in school. At the same time looking for thrill and excitement that will boast my confidence, makes me decide to experience a breathtaking white water rafting activity. Together with Warbe and Genesis we traveled 4 hours from Ozamiz City to Cagayan De Oro which is known as the "City of Golden Friendship" and recently, the place has also become known as the "Whitewater Rafting Capital" of the Philippines.

The activity gives me and my companion the opportunity to feel the rush of whitewater rafting with strikingly beautiful panoramic view of the river rocky walls in the beautiful Cagayan de Oro River. It has breathtaking rapids that provide the more adventure with thrills and challenges of rapids intervals not less than 10 – 15 minutes from each other.

I can not describe how nervous I was, since I am afraid of drowning because I don't know how to swim. But as our raft carried by the heavy current of water and as we navigate to 14 rapids, I was able to calm my fears and manage to laugh and embrace the moment with the awesome roar and power of water. Another good thing about the exciting activity are the river guides that always make as feel that we are safe and secured. And they were not running out of joke, they always tell jokes the whole time as we traverse each rapid.

The whole water rafting lasted for about 3-4 hours. We didn't notice how fast the time flew as the sceneries along the river were breathtaking. We saw some caves and wild plants.

It was an adventure of a lifetime for me.
